The recently discovered asteroid 2026 JH2, measuring 15 to 30 meters in size, belongs to the 'Apollo' class of near-Earth objects. On May 18, it will fly by at a distance of about 90,000 km from Earth, which is a quarter of the distance to the Moon. The asteroid can be observed with amateur telescopes. Its trajectory goes almost to Jupiter, then returns to the inner part of the Solar System. NASA confirms that there is no risk of collision with Earth.
