Lecture on Romanticism in the History of Costume

The seventh lecture in a series dedicated to the history of European costume will take place at the National Library of Belarus on September 24th. The lecture titled 'Romanticism - A Fairy Tale of an Ideal World' will explore the emergence and development of a new direction in art that formed against the backdrop of historical events from the late 18th to the first half of the 19th century. Fashion designer and stylist Irina Kroshner will help trace the wave-like movement of fashion, introduce transformations that occurred in clothing of that time. Visitors will be able to feel the atmosphere of the era when fashion became an expression of dreams and ideals.
