Storm Cyclone Hits Belarus on May 18
Meteorologists have declared an orange danger level for Vitebsk, Grodno, and Minsk regions due to an approaching frontal boundary from southern Russia, bringing rain, hail, and gusts up to 20 m/s. The most dangerous situation is expected in the northern part of the country, especially in the western part of the Vitebsk region, where there is a risk of tornado and large hail. Powerful supercells may form, threatening road flooding. In Brest, Gomel, and Mogilev regions, a yellow danger level is in place. Summer heat up to +28°C is expected, but rain and thunderstorms will continue.
