The space telescope 'Euclid' has created the largest and most detailed image of the center of the Milky Way in visible light. The image features over 60 million stars, as well as nebulae and star clusters. The European Space Agency (ESA) published this unique photo on Wednesday, June 24. To create this cosmic mosaic, 'Euclid' observed the direction of the Galactic Center for almost 26 hours. The final image is composed of nine sections, each covering an area of the sky larger than the full Moon. The photo is not only a beautiful addition to the space gallery but also helps astronomers in the search and confirmation of exoplanets beyond the Solar System using microlensing.
