Scientists Declare Record Heatwave in Europe

Their assessment indicates that nearly half of the 850 largest European cities are experiencing a record heatwave due to a combination of high temperature and humidity. Researchers link this to climate change and warn that without reducing emissions, extreme heat will occur more frequently and become even more intense.
